KHVN CP cancelled

Noted this past week that iHeart requested, and was granted, a cancellation of its Construction Permit to diplex KHVN at the KKGM site with 600 watts days and 240 watts nights.

Wonder what the future of 970 might be?

Who knows now? It sad to see 970 go down the hill like this. KHVN was a powerhouse Gospel radio station. Hell KNOK was a great station as well before KHVN.
 
The 1630 is pretty unassuming and non descript too. I went looking for it when I heard KKGM in WY over/under the local 1630 full power 40 miles to my east.

The tower is on Trinity Boulevard 5 miles SW of the DFW Airport and 5 miles North/northwest of Arlington. The entire monopole isn't the antenna, look at the circled part.. thats the 4 wire KKGM skirt antenna.

I've heard them once in Alaska too.

I wonder what the original intention of the CP was, than cut costs? Would be redundant to run BIN on two signals from the same location.

Might as well just sell 970 for whatever they can get. Or is it forever linked to expanded band 1630? Time to lease it out?
