Bring back the oldies

I don't think they do high school sports. Terrell has likely changed since I worked KTER, but it had been a town with a strong sense of identity. Dallas was a it too close in the opinion of many. Now DFW is growing in every direction, so Terrell might be a 'suburb' for Dallas. The station had been a successful country station and the community's go to station. Then when it sold it went to it's current format over 30 years ago. It is the same today as it was in 1993.

Interesting, I didn't know Liz had passed. Maybe Len just doesn't know what to do with the station. Can anybody confirm if they do high school sports?

Maybe Len just doesn't know what to do with the station.

I looked up demographics for Terrell. White (Non-Hispanic) is 40.5%, Black/African American (Non-Hispanic) 24.6%, and White (Hispanic) 15.5%. Median age of residents is 35.

Given that info and the report of most of the money coming from Sundays (presumably lots of local church services), I'd take it Country. My gut feeling is that would resonate with the community.

I do question why Liz is listed as doing afternoons when she has been gone from this earth three years now. It makes me wonder how accurate the website is. They claim USA Radio Network News on the half hour 6am to 9pm and on the hour 9pm to 6am. USA Radio Network News ended June 14.

I have to suspect the advertisers are the high school sports sponsors. They supposedly have high school sports broadcasts archived (2003, 2005, 2009) with no games listed past 2009.
