Hurricane Milton TV Coverage in Tampa

Once again Tampa is the largest city affected by this hurricane. From responding to Hurricane Helene now Tampa area news outlets have to issue a warning on Hurricane Milton hitting their area as the first largest city affected by hurricanes.

Milton might be the deadliest and most costly Hurricane ever Florida has seen. Tampa looks like a direct strike for now, Florida could be clobbered beyond belief early Thursday

Unlike any other State, when you escape Florida in an emergency you can only go one way. This is a current look at the people fleeing. Then is the question where do you go?

They could go east to Miami/Orlando/etc, north into Georgia or down into the Keys. There are lots of roads, it's just that everyone jams the interstate thinking it will be fastest.

I'm from Florida and I still have relatives there
Ok then, with all the debris from Helene, and traveling on the dirty side of a storm, taking a fun excursion to Miami or down to the Keys is not really suggested, thus the reason for the impossible traffic North

If you can get to Interstate 10 head west to New Orleans. Have a good time for a couple of days then rest, because it will most likely be "Hell on Earth" for months if not years

Wow the 5 PM ET update has Milton back up to a Cat 5 storm with wind speeds @ 165 mph. Milton is expected to double in size, not strength and could possibly cover the State. Gas stations are running out of fuel

Here’s a review on Hurricane Milton TV coverage.
This goes back to the discussion people were having about AM radio - if the only time a lot of people tune in is when a large natural disaster happens, the medium’s future isn’t going to be rosy.

The roof of Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, has been shredded by Hurricane Milton. Video here:

LIVE UPDATES: Hurricane Milton weakens to Cat. 1 storm, some flash flood warnings issued

Hurricane Milton now strong Category 1 storm on destructive path toward Orlando

Orlando area news outlets respond to Milton heading to their area.

Note there are so far 4 deaths reported in St Lucie County, Florida that have been confirmed due to Hurricane Milton. But this is just a preliminary report given that other parts of the state are either still getting hit from Milton or the rescue operations in the rest of the state has just started at the time of the article.
