Jerry Jones Threatens KRLD-FM

The “heated” part of the Jerry Jones interview was run several times by a couple of the sportstalkers here in Houston.

Have to say that my reaction was “This is performance art.”

I suspect this is not as big of a deal as it initially seems. It does keep people chatting about the Cowboys.
It wasn't even that heated and shouldn't have been a big deal. And Jerry does have a point.

Pepperidge Farms remembers when Jerry got is shorts in a knot over Brad Sham and Dale Hanson. Dale basically told Jerry to FO and left the Cowpokes broadcast booth. All he had left was his job at WFAA's number one rated TV station to tell exactly what he thought of the teams playing.
Brad Sham got three years of Ranger baseball after that I believe. Dale became the Leader of the Anti-Jerry Jones and the Cowboys club.
Jerry had a heated exchange with Norm Hitzges one day that got so hot Jerry called for them to take a commercial break.
Norm would stand up to him as did Randy Galloway.

I'd love to know what the PD and GM of KRLD-FM had to say to the hosts about this. I'd be pretty ticked off if Jones said that to my employees on the air. Yes, it's gotten them a ton of publicity, but it also makes the station look terrible. And, unless I completely misunderstand the situation, Jones does not pay those guys to do that show. KRLD pays the Cowboys a ton of money to air their games. They pay the salary of those hosts. If Jones decides he doesn't want to do his show with them, that's his business. Maybe he can record a podcast with one of his sons asking questions and provide that to KRLD as his show. I'd be inclined to tell him to do just that after this episode.

It doesn’t make the station look terrible, it makes Jerrah look like a crazy old man.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones threatens the morning show of the Cowboys radio network:

Well, it looks like that Honeymoon is over.

we need a storm to come through and get Bee Bee on the air. he'll hose them down

When I lived in NJ one thing was clear. Nobody, I mean nobody, liked the Cowboys. If you were the rare Dallas fan people would look at you like you're from another planet. The general consensus is Jerry Jones tries to run his team totally by himself. IOW he's the owner, general manager, coach, etc. I've heard comments like "Jerry is Jerry's worst enemy". I can't argue with that.

You had a governor for 2 terms who was a Cowboys fan and danced with Jerry.
