Classic Hits formats are mainly songs from the 70's through early 90's now. Classic Rock is also heavy on the same era. Very little music from the 60's is still on the Radio except for Oldies formats. WECK plays the "hits", not Album tracks. I doubt that the owner has any interest in "Cool". He just wants to make money. There is a lot of great music from many eras that's not on Radio playlists.Wow. I'm here to say I would have preferred your choices. You lay out the difference between classic rock and classic hits.
I don't remember reading anything about JP being a bad Program Director. There certainly seemed to be a lot of petty drama, however. It's hard to believe that someone who worked in Radio so long could still be naive. In a situation like WECK, you do it "the owners way or it's the highway"...
