Standards score in Santa Rosa

The Eastlan ratings for the Santa Rosa, CA market came out, and Adult Standards KJZY-FM is now ranked #6 with a 4.0 share. Their ratings have been steadily climbing upward the last 6 months. This is big when consider that local stations have to compete with the big signals from the SF bay area ( which gobble up a large portion of the market share).

So Standards are from dead, at least in Sonoma County. KJZY most likely has the largest audience share of any Adult Standards radio station in the US.

And they play the 'true' Standards. Great American Songbook, Sinatra, Ella, recent contemporary versions, etc. They just played Andy Williams...

And they have no shortage of advertisers, always a good sign.

KJZY is the closest thing I've heard to the old KABL (which similarly played Standards, but unlike KJZY, they played almost exclusively older original recordings from the 30s through the 60s) in many years, and I'm pleased that they're doing well.
