BBC America to be fully American owned by AMC Networks

Can't wait for BBC America to become an average AMC channel within a few months, which means almost no one will watch it

Will this mean the channel will not be 100% BBC shows? Do I remember a version of Star Trek once ran on the BBC America network, having nothing to do with Britain?

I don’t think BBC America was ever “100% BBC shows”. In its early days it was a hodgepodge of British content from various sources. Now it runs shows you can find on numerous other outlets.

BBC America is a textbook example of “channel drift” as it barely resembles what it once was.

BBC now has total control of BritBox, which is an on-demand service. No wonder they no longer have interest in BBC America. Plus the Top Gear franchise is suspended and Doctor Who is now co-produced with Disney, which means the Doctor now will be exclusively on the Mouse's Disney+ and Hulu.

So is it a license of the BBC Trademark or is there still some cross pollination from the mother ship.
