Plus in the case of Hank isn't it kinda unusual for country stations to go all Christmas? Correct me if I'm wrongTechnically they never flipped as their HD3 channel plays 24/7/365 Christmas.
Agreed. Emma and Hank are trying to establish their respective formats/brands and probably have nothing to gain by going Christmas.
Not that I can recall in the past decade or so. It wouldn't surprise me if they threw in an occasional holiday tune. There are some good country Christmas songs from the era they are programming.Plus in the case of Hank isn't it kinda unusual for country stations to go all Christmas? Correct me if I'm wrong
I suspect they probably will do just that. It’s not going to be full Christmas programming, but probably a few songs mixed in that fit the format. 100.7 and 98.9 probably will stick to their usual format. Not that I can recall in the past decade or so. I listen to (what they refer to as their HD2) Christmas channel throughout the season via stream. They do a good job with it, other than too-often station IDs. I could understand spots, which they run none, but ID'ing every 10 minutes or so is a bit much. Good variety of Christmas music, though.Technically they never flipped as their HD3 channel plays 24/7/365 Christmas.

Bah humbug indeed... 95.7 is off my presets until January. KARY hasn't flipped yet, though I did just hear Mariah Carey. It may be the exclusive 'secular' station this year, unless one of the Country stations pulls out the sleighs. 105.3 will get a bump from their Christian Christmas format.
They are behind Boise by several days (KXLT-107.9 went Christmas last Friday, and immediately went off my presets until after the turkey. Bah humbug to all!)
95.7 is the Santa station in Tri-Cities (KKSR), and I suspect KARY in Yakima will flip any day now as they usually do.
