Lisa G, Jeff McKinney & Sara Lee Kessler gone from WOR

They were actually employees of iHeart's "24/7 News." But they worked in the NY newsroom and much of their work was heard on WOR... although they were also heard on other stations with a Total Traffic contract. And on the "24/7 News" channel on the iHeart app. (I guess they don't call it NBC News Radio anymore.)

Count it as part of the multiple iHeart staff cuts as we end 2024. Cumulus has also made cuts around the country and I've seen Bonneville has as well.

As far as Radio goes, Is Total Traffic a sinking ship ? They lost a number of stations the past several years for various reasons. The CBS contract, Bloomberg,Pamal Broadcasting & contracts they got rid of because they weren’t making any money with

Total Traffic has lost quite a few stations in recent years. All the Audacy stations took their traffic in-house. That includes all the All-News and Talk stations, WINS, KNX, WBBM, KCBS, WCCO, etc. Also cancelling service were the SiriusXM 24 hour traffic channels. And all the Salem stations went from all day news and traffic (some even overnight and weekends) to only morning drive on weekdays. The rest of the day, Salem stations only run the company's own Townhall News, no more local news or traffic from Total Traffic.

But Total Traffic still has all its co-owned iHeart stations and most Cumulus stations, as well as some other big owners. So that is still a large number of stations on the roster.

Thanx for the info I appreciate it

I also heard Kessler on WOR and on iHeart 24/7 News. So the story should be that she wasn't laid off entirely. She was moved to part time.
