Cumulus cuts in SC

Good lord Blake didn't last long!!!
No he didn’t. His hiring was in response to WTCB trying to be local again after being totally gutted a few years back.

And, in the latest ratings, CLASS A WOMG is a FULL POINT ahead of WTCB and its monster signal once again, and tied with WLTY.

I think any variety of AC on 106.7 is a lost cause. They’ve literally tried every approach, and it never improves.

Either that, put the Game on 106.7, or move the 103.1 stick to 106.7. Kiss does big ratings with that small stick. Signal still matters to a lot of people and the Big DM can be heard all throughout the market while Kiss is the same 6kw weak stick that doesn't even get to Orangeburg.

Kiss to 106.7 would also make sense. This is getting too far in to the weeds, probably, but if I were to put Kiss on 106.7, I’d move WOMG back to 103.1.

98.5 isn’t a good signal in the fast growing parts of the metro past Dentsville and Sandhill where the demographics favor WOMG’s format. 103.1 hits Lexington County as well as NE Richland. I don’t know what I’d do with 98.5, but I feel WOMG could run a bit further with a better signal. Maybe bury AC on 98.5.

And now WTCB has done their annual flip to all Christmas through New Year’s, we shall see what happens when in January.

second round of cuts in Myrtle Beach. Wally B was let go today, haven't heard of any others yet.

"effective immediately, relieved of their duties, due to fiscal cutbacks & restructuring moving forward."
