Denver KOSI Christmas 2024

It's November 13 (tomorrow!) at 5 pm. Almost all of this weekend's 20-inch snowfall will have melted by then.

Not a surprise as KOSI is legendary at making a big production like this

You would think KOOL 105 (Being the big Classic Hits station it is) would do something similar but I guess Kronecke doesn't believe in making big productions like this like KOSI does 🤷‍♂️

Pillar of Fire's KSRC (Star 101.5) has also gone all-Christmas and, believe it or not, there are quite a few secular tunes in their mix.

That's true. The Christmas format on Christian Contemporary stations includes plenty of Holly Jolly Christmas and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. It seems counterintuitive. The one time of the year CCM stations play lots of secular music is leading up to Christmas.

If they don't play Sinatra, The Carpenters and Nat King Cole, they'll lose their listeners to the standard Christmas format. I think the formula is 2/3rd secular and 1/3rd religious. CCM artists cooperate. They also cover secular Christmas titles so they'll get more spins on CCM stations.

Way FM (KXWA, 101.9) is now all-Christmas as well.

So the Denver all-Christmas choices are lined up in a row: 101.1, 101.5, 101.9.
