Here's a sampling of WPHR Power 108 (now WENZ Z107.9) from 1988 and early 1989. This was after the station flipped in 1987 from WDMT, but also right after WPHR got new ownership and management leading to a revamp in March of '88.

They were never really able to make a major impact in the metro Cleveland ratings, due to 107.9's lopsided signal from Newberry which was never heard all that well west and southwest of Cleveland. It wasn't until they went urban where most of their listeners are east of Cleveland did the station become a player.
107.9 was quite powerful at one time. The station came booming in when I lived in Garfield Hts. But at some point they were forced to reduce their power.
