UK’s talkSPORT shutting down more AMs

Have heard the TalkSport carrier on 1089 khz beat a 1khz heterodyne against KAAY 1090 from time to time in the southeast US.
I can see the red lights of one of the 1089 kHz transmitters, Moorside Edge, out of my window as I type this. It used to be 400kW but is now 50kW in the day and 100kW at night. It's one of the ones that's staying - the ones that are going dark are low powered fillers for various towns where measured audience levels are low. In a lot of cases, they were shared with Absolute, another closed AM station, and TalkSport is now the only user of the site, so costs have increased for them.

Moorside Edge also carries BBC Radio 5 Live (a news/talk and sports hybrid) on 909 kHz with 200kW - I can pick it up if I wave a wet piece of string in the air.
