He obviously likes doing what he does. Why should he stop? He is providing a unique format to LA radio and has owned the station for over 60 years, always serving market segments that nobody else wanted to attract.
 
And look at all the politicians that stay past their expiration date. Maybe these people the older politicians and the older people in radio maybe they feel It's their will to live to work in their chosen profession. And then if they did the normal retirement maybe they wouldn't live as long cuz they wouldn't feel sense of purpose just a thought

Good observation had not thought of that
 
The only issue I have with the classic country channel is they don't play the Bellamy Brothers. One of my faves is sugar daddy
 
My Dad's doctor waited until he was 78 to retire. He was dead six months later.

I've heard many stories like his.

I pray Saul will die at his desk looking over the latest ratings.

My pediatrician doctor [whom my mom took me to just before I turned 13 centuries ago, or so it seems] is still practicing at 97 years old. And no, he's not prescribing leeches, treating nose bleeds with red-hot pokers or heart attacks with rags soaked in vinegar and gasoline. Doctors still are required to continue updating their medical skills as time goes by.

I had a doctor who was 92 and died just a few years ago and he was still sharp as a tack.
