I thought they already were separate the linear and streaming in WBD...I think Kathleen Finch runs them and Casey Bloys the streaming/HBO. The Reuters article says this sets the stage for a sale or spinoff. This follows the announcement by Comcast that its spinning off its cable channels. Paramount has yet to make an announcement.

Comcast hasn't actually spun off cable yet. Just announced that they will. This announcement is preliminary.
