New Hampshire iHeart at new Lebanon casino

The Upper Valley is getting a new "charitable gaming" casino this week and, according to this article, it will include an iHeart radio studio originating a significant amount of iHeart programming weekly. The article doesn't say what station or stations will be carrying this programming, which is too bad because the nearest iHeart stations are in Manchester, NH, and Albany, NY, largely blocked from this area by the mountainous topography of New Hampshire and Vermont. Ideas, anyone?

WHEB doesn't even put in a fringe signal in Lebanon -- or even where I am, a dozen miles south. Unless iHeart syndicates the show to Great Eastern, Binnie or any of the other small-time operators up here, the show won't be heard over the air anywhere near the casino.

The casino wants to attract people from outside the area. This is a way to do it. It looks like a sponsorship deal.

The operator of the Lebanon casino also operates in Manchester, Dover and Keene, and there are casinos with sports betting and simulcast horse racing elsewhere in the state, including the Manchester and Portsmouth areas. No reason for anyone down south and east to trek up I-89 to Lebanon for gambling, although as the ski season gets going, the local casino might attract out-of-towners looking for some nightlife.

The WHEB morning show has just been renewed:
