TV Host and Mentalist The Amazing Kreskin Dies

I had The Amazing Kreskin's ESP Game (a Milton Bradley product) as a kid. It featured a pendulum that was used in the same way a Ouija board's table was.

The Basic Principles of Kreskin's ESP, SSS Records, 1967

I actually bought a copy of this record (which strangely bore the green Plantation label of the Shelby Singleton label group.) This record was in the Blue Light 99 cent discount bin at Kmart, around 1976. I remember because the buzz movie was Carrie and there was talk everywhere about ESP, telekinesis and brain potential. I snagged my copy and took it home. Put it on my GE Wildcat record changer as I sat with my legs folded on the floor in front of my stereo, with a bottle of Coke in one hand, the back cover of this record in the other.

And became instantly bored. Not even The Sex Detector was that interesting.

C'mon!! I wanted to make stuff fly off my mean second grade teacher, Mrs. Wallace's desk at her. I wanted to set a bully on fire. I washed A WHOLE LINCOLN CONTINENTAL for this record! I demanded satisfaction!

Kreskin knew a lot of people would waste their money on it
