Not really an update, but to note that EMF is acquiring Radio Nueva Vida. As it is currently unavailable in Houston, might we see it pop up as an HD subchannel on KLVH or KHJK? Too big an Hispanic market to ignore.🤔

Could it be they will rebrand RADIO NUEVA VIDA? I just saw an add on facebook about AIR 1, música de Adoración. On the Air 1 app it has another channel now.

This also gets rid of the cost of XPoNential Radio for HPM. I had recently been wondering if it would disappear from the HD-3 given all the recent financial pressures on public radio in general.
Dumping Classical 24 from the HD-2 would likely provoke an outcry, so likely safe for now.
If they do add HD I hope it’s for 97.1 and not 103.7. The 103.5 LPFMs don’t need more interference
Wondering if anybody else has noticed this recently too…
I’m up in The Woodlands area, and over the past few months it seems like KQBT’s HD signal keeps getting worse and worse. It’s always gone in and out between analog/digital a few times driving around The Woodlands, but would usually stay locked in to the digital HD signal, for the most part. These past few months, however, it seems to almost never lock into the digital signal. Majority of the time the signal stays analog, and/or will flip to HD for only a few seconds before falling back to the analog. Especially driving up I-45 north of 99, I can almost never get a digital signal to lock on 93.7. As soon as I stop on a side road or wait at a light, the HD signal will usually lock again. Then back to analog after I start driving again.
I’m wondering if they’re running on a lower power than they’re licensed to? Or if something changed recently causing them to use an AUX site with a worse signal? I have also noticed “KLBJ” lighting up on my screen from time to time rather than “BEAT.” Not sure why the interference from KLBJ is so bad in The Woodlands. This only happens on 93.7. All of the other Missouri City stations lock into the HD digital signal for my entire drive anywhere around town. I enjoy listening to Pride Radio too, and this issue makes it almost impossible to listen OTA anymore.

It’s just strong tropos especially this morning. KQBT has always been kind of weaker HD than the rest though. I don’t know if their directional pattern is a bit off or what.
