TBD to go on 5.4 on January 15, replacing the Grio

It seems that Allen Media is pulling the plug on the Grio. In any case, Fox Television Stations and Sinclair announced an agreement today:

TBD TV Will Be Available on FOX Affiliates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and Phoenix Beginning January 15 Representing 22 Million TV Households

TBD only has 9 shows so far. I just can't imagine relying on OTA for television entertainment. The diginets are all reruns, paid programming, and way too much home shopping. I do like Key and Peele that's on TBD, but that's on the free Samsung TV (National Lampoon channel). I don't know of anyone who watches diginet. Do they even attract much of an audience? Even local TV news is available for streaming.

Whether TBD is a success or not...To Be Determined.

Where are you hearing that? The Grio had a bunch of layoffs earlier this year, but there is no word on a complete closure of the channel.

We don't know that yet. However, This TV was shut down without advance notice.

Now who is gonna air the HBCU football games if The Grio goes under?

Well I think Los Angeles is the flagship market for the grio it’s based out of california and it’s getting pulled from that market so maybe ota the channel is going away one would maybe assume in this scenario..

TheGrio is all but shutdown on OTA WOODTV drop it on May 1 for DEFY on DT3 in West Michigan. TheGrio will only be cable/streaming channel in my opinion.
