KHTI 103.9 FM Inland Empire

Like I said before it's a joke of a station they have to do something they are at the bottom of the barrel so far as shares go

In fact I don't think Jon is their anymore I haven't checked the personality page so I don't know would not be surprised if he wasn't

Wait a sec. Jeff Pope is the announcer for Ontario reign isn't that a conflict of interest for him to be given away ticket on air at hot 103.9. last I checked all stations had a conflict of interest they sign

Those under contract may sign a noncompete agreement, but I have never heard of anything called “conflict of interest“.

Each employer may impose different conditions on their air staff in so far as what kind of side jobs they can do as well as things like product, endorsements, and public appearances. There is no standard contract in this regard.

Thanks for the clarification David

My advice to anyone signing a non compete:
spend a couple of hundred bucks and have a lawyer read it. And let him/her tell you what's in it.

Some of these are ridiculous like a 200 mile limit on where you can work for a Class A FM. I get maybe 50 miles form the 60 db. In the 1990's the Louisville stations didn't want you going to Cincinnati which is really stupid but it's their right to try to hold back people. I personally would like to hire folks that go to bigger markets. That means I got big market talent for a time at a lower price.

Noncompetes were supposed to be unenforceable under federal law, but that ruling is up in the air.

Well I looked at hots FB page and 12 hours ago they were posted by the breakfast club. Which is mainly on urban contemporary stations. That might be a hint at the direction the station is going not sure how successful that would be but anything is worth a try at this point.

You might be talking about WXHT and WSCZ for the Breakfast Club part.

That's the page for the Hot 103.9 in Columbia, South Carolina.

I'm getting up early to listen to the announcement I'm curious about the new format I'm not holding my breath though if they do go back to x I'll laugh because x also had low shares before they flipped to hot

Nothing will really work on that station because of the signal. It's really bad, even in parts of the IE itself. Maybe they can do just a KATY simulcast and save some $$?
