They preempted that for this?

On December 20, 2024, KCCI 8 (CBS) in Des Moines, Iowa pre-empted The Kelly Clarkson Show which airs at 3pm today for Busy This Week. It looks like a talk show and she keeps saying QVC alot and at the bottom right of the screen it has a QC code and the QVC+ and HSN+ network bug.

Also at 6:30pm they are pre-empting Inside Edition for another This is Iowa special. Neither The Kelly Clarkson Show or Inside Edition will be airing at all overnight.

Tomorrow nights Timberwolves game is being simulcast on KARE 11 (NBC) in Minneapolis
The dual Dateline shows are on at 1:05 and 2:05 am late Saturday
The SNL rerun (the hour rerun at 9 central) is on at 3:05 am

The Christmas Day Parade isn't like it it used to be, I don't even watch it anymore.
I haven’t been on in a while. But I don’t know if anyone televised the Novant Health parade this year. Ironically WBTV could have aired it live or delayed this year on Thanksgiving morning before the Bears-Lions game, because CBS stopped airing the various Thanksgiving Day parades and just stuck LMAD and TPIR reruns in the morning in the East. But that would have made far too much sense.

I know Charlotte's isn't. Not even on Thanksgiving Day. It's at night now.

WCCB took over the Novant parade several years ago.

not quite a pre-emption, but in Boston, the BC-Neb Pinstripe on ABC is being pushed to MeTV for the Pats-Chargers local simulcast on WCVB, Boston is obliviously not a college FB town when a local stations thinks the 3-12 Patriots will get more viewers than a 2nd tier bowl game with local team

Sister Hearst station WMUR in Manchester, NH as well. That would've been an alternative for some in the Boston area, particularly with DIRECTV or FiOS where they have both ABC affiliates.

The NE corridor of the US isn't known for their college football fandom like it is elsewhere in the country (i.e., SE and SW US).

The college hockey games ‘The Great Lakes Invitational’ is being carried by some GrayTV stations. Games are 3:30 and 7:00 today and tomorrow Eastern Time
  • WLUC Marquette, MI (TV6 airs Tech-WMU, all others on FoxUP)
  • WILX Lansing, MI (Day 1 10.2 MeTV, Day 2 10.1 NBC)
  • KCRG Cedar Rapids, IA (all games on 9.2)
  • KBJR Duluth, MN (all games on 6.3 My9)
  • KTTC Rochester, MN (all games on 10.2 CW)
  • KEYC Mankato, MN (all games on 7.3 the365)
  • Palmetto Sports Network, covering the state of South Carolina.
The only stations with legit pre-empt is Marquette, MI and Lansing. The others do it regularly for sports.
WLUC early was All American Dream, Supermotocross preview and news. WLUC late game on Fox with programming moved to late night and hockey game JIP after football game (Michigan Tech on early game which is local team). Mondays games (same time) on Fox. Programming is shown at 10:30-12:30.
WILX doesn’t show changes online but assume programming on Monday moved to late night. Looking at schedule daytime is fluff stuff so no worries on those.
