Funny, I cannot find a listing under FM Query. Is there a better source? I tried the FCCDATA website that they just reverted me back to FM Query. You're hearing KLMN in Raymond . It is owned by SeaSound Broadcasting per FCCDATA website. It's a few hundred watts as a Class A on a hilltop.
TOH ID gives three stations: KSWW, KJET (Union) and KLMN (Raymond).
Radio-Locator.com lists the station as off the air. For that reasons, some of the databases will not list the station. Just know that the two other sites you listed are usually better resources than Radio-Locator.Funny, I cannot find a listing under FM Query. Is there a better source? I’m pretty certain one can use Longley-Rice or contours to determine overlap. In the coastal hill areas, I wouldn’t be surprised if the overlap was significantly less.Do the new rules about FM simulcasting impact KSWW and KLMN carrying the same content? There's a lot of KSWW overlapping KLMN's coverage area.. Small potatoes .. in these parts "small fish".

I'll jump in and help you all out. KLMN is on the air. The ERP of 750 watts was for the original 107.9 frequency. The shift to 106.5 required the ERP to be lower, thus the 300 watt ERP. For a couple of days KLMN temporarily simulcast KSWW-FM HD1. After the feed was established, this weekend it began a simulcast of KSWW-HD3 with the Classic Country format, making a local morning talk show available to adjoining Pacific County. There is no prohibited overlap between KSWW and KLMN for simulcast purposes. And as slow as the Commission is on posting updates, it understandably takes radio-locator a bit to catch up...I’m pretty certain one can use Longley-Rice or contours to determine overlap. In the coastal hill areas, I wouldn’t be surprised if the overlap was significantly less.
101.1 FM translator for KSWW is for better reception in the Raymond-South Bend area. With its transmitter on Cosi Hill south of Aberdeen, 102.1 does quite well in Grays Harbor, and parts of Mason and Thurston Counties. My guess is this will replace the 101.1 translator they have had in Raymond for years...even back in the Hits & Favorites/Citadel days. It didn't get out well to the north. I think I barely heard them in Artic. Up on the north beach 101.1 was just Portland.
Without having a tall tower on a high hill, there's no perfect site in Grays Harbor. But 8-9 years ago KSWW moved from South Montesano to Cosi Hill. So the holes you speak of may no longer exist. Is there still the same spotty 'holes' for 102.1 up in Moclips, Taholah, Pacific Beach area? I remember that while 102.1 was quite strong at the cabin we stayed at when I was younger, the reception was variable at Moclips and north.
I just looked at the Street View imagery for Seabrook - my goodness has it grown. I remember it was just a bunch of quaint vacation rentals and homes to begin with. Now they have a grocery store and tons of shops. (Is the grocery store cheaper than the highway robbe...I meant the IGA of Ocean Shores?)
For more current information on anything FCC, use fccdata.orgHere's the FCCData listing:
No change. Transmitter Output Power = 750 watts, Effective Radiated Power = 300 watts. (one-bay antenna gain 0.5 and transmission line loss).Thanks. So 300 watts rather than the 750 watts I read earlier. Still strong here at 40 miles. By one pattern it looks like there is a null towards Aberdeen (KAHS-LP), but the info says ND. Since I already get their translator on 101.1 with 9 watts, no wonder 106.5 is so strong.
You are correct...Well, the guy that owns Jodesha is on this board, but I very much doubt he would have much to say. Jodesha certainly has a long legacy of community service, and the sticks match. Assuming the Seattle move-in rimshot is not part of the deal- that signal alone is worth more than the asking price of the rest I would hope.
