Timesharing FM Translator(s)

If an AM daytimer doesn't have any programming to air when the AM daytimer is off the air, do the FM translator rules allow the FM translator(s) associated with the AM daytimer to be "loaned" to another local radio station?

(maybe a 24/7 local AM with a weird sundown/nighttime directional pattern or a much lower sundown/nighttime power)

For that matter, suppose there is a timeshare FM arrangement between two license holders. I would assume the translator owner has would have to negotiate an agreement with both entities for 24x7 relaying but could opt to only carry one of the primary stations. The translator would have to sign off regularly if it did not reach an agreement with the second station... Correct?

Translators are tied to the originating station, and such a set-up where it would be shared between two stations would likely be a headache not worth anyone's trouble, if the rules even were to allow it.

AFAIK, the translator can remain on-air even when the daytimer is off, so the easier solution would be to lease time on the originating station to someone else if the owner didn't just schedule a regular day of programming.
