The Fish 95.5 sold to KLove.

I wonder now if EMF will keep both of the translators on 92.7 and 103.7 FM? Could one of those get sold?
Or they put their Spanish language format on one... if either covers the area where more Hispanics live.

Both of them relay Air1 so that's likely not to change. 89.1 in Hinckley and 90.9 in Wadsworth relay K-Love (and not terribly far from K-Love 90.9 in Wooster) Depending on how EMF's engineering team sees things re: 95.5's signal in the Akron area, it might stay that way.

EMF also owns 106.1 Solon which iHeart relays WAKS-HD2 on.

Currently 92.7 FM is Air-1 and 103.7 FM is K-Love is the Cleveland translator market.

Well the plan is for EMF to flip all the "Fish" stations to either K-Love or Air1.

Just my guess, but I could see K-Love on 95.5, as that is the same basic music now on the Fish, with Air1 on both translators (Air1 is more worship style church music, and as I said K-Love is more "Fish" style Christian contemporary music).

The frequency used for Wadsworth is 102.5. 90.9 is in Wooster. Either way, this irritates me. They use Wadsworth as COL but the antenna is located in Akron just east of the Norton city limits. If you're going to use a town as a COL it's be nice if they'd actually have some sort of physical presence in the city. And the one that really blows my mind WJKA "Heartland radio". Col: Brunswick in Medina county. Studios in Barberton in Summit county. Antenna in Wayne county.

I'm guessing the CP was issued before there was serious discussion of this sale. Yes, agree about EMF and the CP. Looks like the CP would diminish the signal a bit; especially my way to the south.

Could EMF go after another big signal so that both K-Love and Air 1 can have proper frequencies instead of a lot translators?

Also, several Fish personalities are already saying goodbye on social media with news of the station being sold.

Every year, we lose more live and local radio programming and personalities. Eventually, live and local radio will be a thing of the past. šŸ™

All we would have left after this year might be WKSU/WCLV and the Sports talk stations in regards to local radio in Cleveland, other than the college stations.

WHK, AM1420, has local personality Bob Frantz doing a live and local show, with call-ins from 9:05am until 11:45am Monday through Friday.
There are also paid-for programs by the host(s) on both WHK and WHKW. On WHK, they are on the weekends. From what I can tell, "The Average Josh" show, hosted on Saturdays by two guys whose first name is Josh, is a local WHK product.

WDLW AM1380 out of Oberlin/Lorain has a lot of local hosts on for their Oldies format. If we seek, we shall probably find more.
