Howie Carr - Grace Curley Show Schedule Change

Looks like Howie's long-running 3PM to 7PM slot is shifting.

From WGAN:

"Starting Thursday, January 2nd, tune in to hear Grace Curley from Noon to 2 PM, followed by Howie Carr from 2 to 6 PM"
 
Maybe Grace will work what was her 3rd hour with Howie’s 1st hour. They could be planning for her to take over when Howie retires.
 
I wonder what will happen to Grace's current producer and fill in, Taylor Cormier?
Taylor usually fills in for Howie when he is out, but not today? I hope he is on vacation.

If you watch the beginning of that Rumble link, you can hear him speaking with Grace.
He pointed out that she was already on camera waiting for the show to open, and not to do things like pick her nose. :)

I only listened to about the first 5 minutes and then caught the ending, and I didn't hear anything mentioned about the new schedule, but it's 2 hours instead of the former 3.

WNTK/WUVR are carrying Grace from 1 to 2 PM, then Howie from 2 to 6 PM, then another hour of Grace at 6 PM (not sure if it's the first or second hour).

They shifted it around when he became Grace's producer; he's now the primary fill-in for her show.

Doesn't Howie effectively purchase the airtime for both shows by being self-syndicated (not brokered, but handling ad sales, etc.)? It's one less hour he has to worry about.
 
WRKO expanded Adam Kaufman's gambling/sports to 9-midnight. Jesse Kelly moved to 6-9 from his former 7-10 PM. Howie moved eariler to 2-6 PM.

Kaufman's gambling does not run on Fridays so Joe Pags was given that 9-midnight shift to replace 10 PM - 1 AM..
 
The change in Howie's schedule isn't completely out of the blue. When he went to WMEX, he attempted to cut back the show to 3 to 6PM.
