This is probably a shot in the dark, but does anyone have any insight into who did the imaging for Q106.5 in the late 80s? Would love to know who put that package together, and whether or not any of the original recordings are available anywhere.
Sorry, I don't know, though I recall it well. This is probably a shot in the dark, but does anyone have any insight into who did the imaging for Q106.5 in the late 80s? Would love to know who put that package together, and whether or not any of the original recordings are available anywhere.
Doubleday sold then-KWK-FM in 1983 or early 1984 to Robinson Broadcasting (legal notice was in the Post-Dispatch in December 1983). Chase Broadcasting bought KWK-FM (and KGLD(AM), originally KWK) in December 1986, and owned it until 1990.That jingle package is listed as being originated by WAVA ("Power 105") in Washington, DC. Both WAVA & WKBQ were owned by Doubleday Broadcasting until the late 1980s, so I'd wager a corporate VP at Doubleday was involved.
