They did not show in the last PPM because they did not subscribe and did not meet the 0.1 minimum rating (about a 2 share) for non subscribers to show.

Another way of looking at it is that sports talk is different from sports play-by-play, both in terms of listener appeal and in terms of the business model.
I agree with that 100%. Those who want an alternative to political talk have the option of sports talk.

Can a company like iHeart pick and choose which stations in their market cluster to be subscribers? I thought I read elsewhere on this board that ALL in the cluster were required to subscribe as a group?
Companies with multiple stations and multiple markets sign total enterprise deals that cover everything. As far as I know, you can't buy for some and not for others in the same market; that is because if you get the full report, it includes everything. I have not worked on a contract for many years, so if someone like Huff has more info, I'd appreciate it.
I don't see evidence of any such 'sycophancy' in the mainstream news press, at least in articles about Trump or the administration. Zuckerberg owns / runs a social media platform, but it's not part of the news media. I know a lot of left leaning people were angry that the WA Post didn't endorse anyone this presidential election, but has the WA Post turned into a MAGA megaphone? Nope.
And conservative talk lasted through other conservative presidents. And on top of that, there always is this thing called 'confirmation bias', where people like to hear opinions they agree with, on various issues, not just which party is controlling Congress or who is in the White House. Conservative people like to hear conservative hosts back up their beliefs, just as liberal minded people enjoy MSNBC or whatever left-leaning online media they enjoy to watch or listen to.
As to the future of 560 in the Bay Area, I would guess brokered or ethnic would be in their future? I can't see how three conservative talkers can make money in SFO. It's more liberal, arguably, than Seattle, and here in Seattle-Tacoma we have three, but one of them (Salem station 1300 KOL) doesn't get much in the way of ratings. The other two stations aren't getting high ratings, either.
But a number of people use it that way. Publishers, radio stations, and TV stations put their stories on the platform as well.
I hadn't checked for a while, so I listened for a bit via SDR just now. Tonight just before 5 pm Pacific, 560 was running a talk show on dietary supplements while 810 had a string of per-inquiry ads before picking up the Cal basketball pre-game show at 5 pm sharp. The 810-only legal ID continued to use the KGO call letters as well as KSFO while 560 had a promo for the "Talkradio 560 KSFO website".
Oh my! I suppose with all the staff cuts, there is no one around to update and record proper legal ID's and promos. At least, its nice to still hear the KGO calls, even though they are legally forever gone from the SF radio dial.

As I've mentioned previously, the last Cal men's basketball game is Saturday afternoon, March 8 at Notre Dame. I suspect nothing will change until after that.
During tonight's Cal vs. Miami (FL) basketball game, the TOTH ID around 8:10pm had "Talk Radio KSFO San Francisco, KSAN HD2 San Mateo, KGO San Francisco" - even though KGO is no longer a licensed call sign.
...not quite.
Cal is currently 10th in the ACC. That puts them in position to qualify for the ACC Tournament, which begins on Mar. 11. Fifteen of the 18 teams make the cut for the tournament this year. So the Golden Bears may end up playing at least one more time after Notre Dame.

That's why I wrote "until after that {March 8}" which is pretty open-ended.
Your wording implies with certainty that the last game will be on 3/8. That's not an open-end.
No such certainty is implied in what I wrote, other than that nothing new with the simulcast is likely to happen until at least March 8.
960 only exists to clear talk shows and Fox Sports content that wouldn't be cleared otherwise. It doesn't matter how small the audience is as long as some revenue is generated, even if the bare minimum.
