Per RadioInsight Marty Whitney is leaving 91X in San Diego at the end of the week. The article notes that he previously did middays at 98.7 in LA. And there happens to be an opening in middays on 98.7. Hmmm...
 
The funny part about this is that everyone was so focused on the iHeart cuts last fall, and predicted there would be no live bodies anymore. Now here we are, and one by one, they're replacing most of them. Not only in LA, but around the country.
 
Not to say it isn’t possible he’ll end up at KYSR but I would think if that was the plan, there’d be a vague allusion to it in the article as opposed to an aircheck and email plug
