Salem sells KFSH 95.9 as part of it's sale of all CCM stations to EMF creating an L.A. duopoly with 100.3 KKLQ

And speaking of overlaps, they had a major overlap in Sacramento for about a decade between KLVB 99.5 (Now KKFS) and KLRS 89.7 and now temporarily have three with KLVB 103.9. If they take 99.5 and make it Air1, they will actually reduce overlap amongst the other two.

There is certainly some overlap between 99.5 and 89.7, but there is also a lot of population in the market that falls outside one or another. You can totally see how they would determine they need both signals to hit their target.

I agree in general that that L-R maps are more accurate, but there are other factors to consider as well like what the L-R model's receiver height is set at, which is almost always way higher than even the tallest whip antenna.

Regardless, this all feels like moving the goal post. KLRS has lots of issues outside of Central and South Sacramento. KKFS (99.5) is better than the contour circle would indicate, but it is still a 3300 watt Class A which is more than 20 miles from Elk Grove and more than 35 miles from Lodi, for example.

Neither of these signals are full-market on their own. It's not as if they are broadcasting from the same tower - 89.7 and 99.5 are 34 miles apart!

KKFS 99.5 and the Auburn, CA translator have been removed from the K-Love listings.

Also, the former K-Love Colorado Springs/Pueblo, CO station and translator have been removed.

They're running a looping announcement on 99.5 directing K-LOVE listeners to 103.9 in Sacramento, and saying 99.5 is transitioning to Air1 soon.

It's also directing listeners to various other K-LOVE stations: Elk Grove/Stockton on 89.7, Marysville/Chico 88.3, San Francisco 107.3.
