Rich DeMuro now on WOR

This is unexpected! WOR may be iHeart's 50,000 watt clear channel talk station in New York City. But it had not taken any of the eight shows that are offered by Premiere Networks on weekends. It doesn't even carry the Saturday night version of Coast to Coast AM. And that's for a very good reason. WOR makes more money from running infomercials all weekend long. Some informercials run twice or three times. Apparently WOR can fill up nearly every hour, even overnight Saturday, with infomercials.

So it's surprising that it not only is now airing "Rich DeMuro on Tech" which is live on KFI on Saturday afternoons. But WOR is taking all three hours.

FYI: Rich On Tech is a Premiere Networks radio show:

Plus his podcast is distributed by iheartradio. Apparently it originates at iHeart's KFI.

I have noticed a few syndicated shows on WOR's Sunday schedule such as The Car Doctor, At Home with Gary Sullivan, Dr. Ronald Hoffman, and Kim Komando lately. Out of all of those shows, only At Home is a Premiere Network show. I wonder if the other shows are buying time or is WOR simply cutting back on paid infomercials.

Maybe they can't find enough infomercials.

If that's the case they should do everything they can to publicize the real shows. After so many years of wall-to-wall infomercials how many people would think to tune in on the weekends?

BTW, the WOR website still show Kim Komando on Sunday from 9 to 11 but Rich DeMuro is now in that slot. And check out this on Fandom:

It's like Riedel, Berman, Bartlett and others never left!
