Paramount puts several awards on hold

This comes after the announcement that the Grammy Awards will move from CBS to ABC & Hulu in 2027:

The difference between the Grammys and the group of shows just announced is that Paramount owns those brands. They're all related to cable channels, and there are questions about the future of those channels. NBC Universal intends to spin off a group of its cable channels. It's possible that Paramount will do the same after the merger. Of course that merger is also in question given the FCC investigation of CBS News.

There are only 5 awards that matter. Grammy, Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Globe. The others are just for advertising purposes.

Tony Awards mainly are for NYC. That's where Broadway is. By "Globe," you probably mean Golden Globe? Those are mainly about foreign press.

Im going by what is referred to as the EGOT, I guess that doesn't count the Golden Globes.

I would add the CMA awards to this. And, while part of the Grammy organization, the Latin Grammy awards are very significant.... particularly internationally.
