Tuscaloosa WYLS-AM tower down

Just saw where WYLS-AM in York, Alabama lost their tower last Friday. Took down the AM, translator and STL hop for WSLY-FM.

You'd think they would post something on their Facebook page or something, but the last post is from December 2024. So much for listener engagement.

Not sure about Lance's rules on hotlinking to another creator's pic or FB page, but the Image of the downed tower can be found by Googling for WYLS Tower, about 5 results down is a Meridian FB page called the Scotty Ray Report with the story and pic.

That's exactly what I searched for but it was about 5 pages down in the results for me, after results from a bunch of stream aggregators and even my own website. The first result? This thread!

For whatever reason, I always seem to get vastly different search results from Google (and Bing) versus everyone else. And Facebook search has been categorically useless to me for a decade now. When I searched WYLS there it only gave me people with that name (!) and results from WLS in Chicago. Go figure.

Wylsradio.com and their Facebook page is now reporting that the WYLS branding and their Gospel programming has moved to 104.9 FM.
