Northern California KXBX 1270 Dead Carrier on AM and FM

For several weeks now, KXBX has been airing a dead carrier on both its AM and FM translator.

Anyone know why?

I just called the manager and he verified by listening off-air that both the main and the translator are broadcasting audio. What is the basis for your statement?

Huh, how strange. I can confirm that, as of now, there is nothing but dead air on both 96.5 and on 1270 with a few other AM stations bleeding through in the background. I know it's not my radios (stock system in '94 GMC truck and Radioshack DX-398), because every other station comes in loud and clear.

I'm only about 7.5 miles from 1270's main transmitter site off Soda Bay Road, so I don't think distance is a factor.

Perhaps there's no need; I'm finally hearing normal audio again!

I tuned in around 7:30 this evening and heard what sounded like a ball game.
