Armstrong and Getty Return to SD Radio

The great Armstrong and Getty start on Sf, Patrick’s Day (this Monday) on KLSD,
AM 1360 weekdays from 9-noon. After leaving the KFMB 760 morning show (now KGB AM) a couple years ago, they are back on the local airwaves as their show continues to add stations. A and G were on 760 for about 9 years before the station changed to sports. Glad they are back.

Since KLSD is owned by iHeart, it makes sense for Armstrong & Getty to be on 1360. The show comes from an iHeart station in Sacramento, 650 KSTE.

Technically, it may not be syndicated by Premiere Networks. But it's on many iHeart stations in the West, especially those that don't have their own morning show.

Yes. I believe A and G are in all of the top 30 markets in states on the west coast: Seattle, Portland, OR, SF, Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego. They are in a few (but not most) major markets east of California such as Buffalo and Kansas City.

I was the MD of one of the FM sister stations. They had just moved to talk radio from hosting mornings on an AC station across town. They seemed like nice guys. I didn’t interact with them much.
Over the air they seem like nice, regular guys. But talented radio people on air are partly actors, so it’s fun to learn what they’re like off
the air. Thanks for the info.

The KFBK newsroom sits just outside the KSTE air studio door, so I saw Jack and Joe daily for about six years (2014-2020). We got along great. They're pretty much what you hear on the air, just at a conversational volume.

I can distinctly remember how high pitched one of them would get when they were excited on the air.

They had a silly show name when they were doing mornings on KYMX. “Out of the Sack, With Joe and Jack”. Ken Kohl hired them in 1997 or 1998 for KSTE.
