To be clear, NPR is not a government agency. It receives government funding, but so does Tesla. The CEO is elected by the Board, and the Board is made up of NPR member station GMs. So she reports to the stations, not the congress, not the president, not CPB. Apparently Ms. Greene believes NPR is a top-down federal organization (like Congress) that tells radio stations what to do. Hopefully today she will learn the facts. If she listens. Hopefully, she will tell Ms. Greene that she could just tell her governor to shut down their public stations, or replace NPR with Maga talk show hosts if they want.
