New signals in Cle?

Anyone know if 2 new signals 101.7 and 93.5 were approved for the Cleveland market . I seen a post about 2 new stations on those dials coming soon ,but my guess is that they would be LPFM’S

Well, that's just great. They HAD to be on the TWO frequencies of the TWO stations that I listen to. (WHOF and WAKR's FM repeater).

Coverage maps?

Well that's good. Hopefully both are far enough away from me to prevent interference to WHOF and WAKR's FM repeater, both of which I'm in the fringes of.

I have picked up WAKR's FM signal as north as Solon but it was getting a little sketchy and breaking up.
Yep. Once I'm out of Solon and north of Miles Road, 93.5 starts to fade out and another station starts to fade in.

I find it interesting that, apparently, so many people and groups want to own over-the-air radio stations that The FCC seems like its "busting-a-gut" to shovel more and more stations onto the FM dial.

Eventually, a lot of the existing signals are going to suffer with the overcrowding of the signals. Then there's also the issues any station has to face of placing near WNIR, with ownership complaining of signal interference and blocking Salem's attempts to be placed on FM near 100.1.

They also blocked Lorain station WDLW's proposed FM move to 99.9

The Klaus brothers should not be bullying other companies as WNIR doesn't come in at all in Lorain County. Plus, it's an Akron station!
It's a Kent–Akron station but the 54 dBu contour goes to Brunswick and Medina, which stations and translators do have to protect. That's the problem.

I at least give the Klaus family credit that they still care about the integrity of WNIR's signal and not having it compromised by translators and move-ins. WDLW and WEOL's translators are hemmed in because there aren't that many good open FM frequencies available in Lorain County.

Back in the exciting days of yesteryear music stations would get new jingle packages every few years and they were great. How about the WHK packages from çolor channel 14 through the end of top 40 in 67, the "1420, W (clap) HK ones?
And the WGAR, WERE, WKYC WIXY, KYW, WAKR, WHLO, WELW jingles, such fun!
Today, few station are going to spend money on jingles when they're struggling to just stay on the air.

Any word on why WERE doesn't have an FM translator? Urban One has gone all in on Praise and La Mega/Fuego, but not the News-Talk station.
