Comcast and Yes Network are fighting

Today, the Yes Network CEO made the unusual decision to take his case to the viewers. He came on the air during the Yankees broadcast to blast Comcast for refusing to negotiate. He also said they are treating their owned sports network SNY differently:

I seem to remember Com-crap doing this to YES in Connecticut before. My mother had Frontier at the time, so I could still see the Yanks if I had stopped by.

It sounded to me like the biggest sticking point was being kicked to a higher priced tier while SNY remained in the cheaper tier. By continuing the previous deal, they will stay where they've been.
So this might be just another extension, we don’t know how long. Like usual these deals are cryptic.

A deal has finally been reached.
According to a report by Eric Fisher in Front Office Sports, YES Network, the television home of the New York Yankees, and Comcast have agreed to a new distribution deal that runs “at least into 2027” and will keep the regional sports network on expanded basic cable in the New York area. Comcast, as it has done with most other regional sports networks across the country, sought to place YES Network in a higher, more expensive tier, which the network rebuffed. At the end of the day, YES Network got its wish.
