MLB Stream fails in first day of season

Wait are you a baseball fan?? I can’t believe we got you to tune into a game or try to
I'm not a baseball fan, but I've worked with many stations that carry the sport. I'm interested in the "content provider" aspect.

How does the distribution work for radio broadcasts of local teams. How does it get back to the leagues to hit these other services.

This is from the originating station view and how the audio is pushed out from there. Usually a dedicated MLB Comrex with their own ISP connection at the originating station connecting to a Comrex on the far end to distribute as needed to Sirus/XM and their MLB streaming.

Station affiliates are usually satellite feeds. From the originating station to the uplink via a dedicated Comrex link. Then out over the Satellite to the affiliate.

As far as getting audio from the game to the originating station that is also usually Comrex with a Backup Comrex or Tieline running in case the main feed has an issue.

Once audio leaves the originating station on the MLB Comrex I have no idea how audio is routed or distributed. Originating station is more in control of the feed to affiliates versus how MLB distributes to their MLB streaming feed.
