KFOX

My favorite classic rock station, 98.5 KFOX (officially KUFX) is not picking up in my city of Livermore, California. Instead the 98.5 station in Sacramento, KRXQ, is picking up. What on earth is going on?

I have to share why I laughed at the choice of verbiage by the OP.

"... not picking up" - so the station phone just rings and rings unanswered?

I must be getting old. (And yes, I know the OP meant "not receivable", as in signal.)

I am constantly astonished at the poor writing skills of some of our fellow participants. I mean, I don't expect F. Scott Fitzgerald to show up in RD, but there are a few here who seem like they never made it out of 3rd grade. (And no, I'm not referring to garden-variety typos, which we're all capable of if we don't take a moment to proofread.)

Okay, I'm crawling back to the rocking chair now.

There are people here with handicaps, people whose first language is not English and people with issues like dyslexia that make writing hard. Because I can't spell worth a darn in English, I try to be welcoming and accepting to those who may have some other issue.

"There but for the will of Grace go I" is a good quote to hang at the back of one's brain.
