Cadillac Jack Dies

William “Cadillac Jack” Choate, an icon in Atlanta radio, passed away yesterday at the age of 55.

Caddy started at Kicks 101.5 doing evenings in 1993. He moved to afternoon drive on sister station Y106.7 and then returned to Kicks in afternoons. Then, after several failed morning shows following Moby’s departure, he took over mornings on Kicks.

His last air stint was at 92.5 The Bear in the south metro. He and his outstanding talent will be missed.

92.5 The Bear spent about 10 minutes eulogizing Caddy this morning. I never met him, but he seemed like a solid guy.
