Mike Patrick, longtime ESPN PBP announcer, 80

Patrick was a solid pro. He was on ESPN Sunday Night Football from 1987 -- 2005 as mentioned above. He called the first NFL game that ESPN ever broadcasted. That was before NBC took over the Sunday Prime Game. He had a great career...

He also did the college World Series for many years.
 
Note that Mike Patrick and another well-known sportscaster, Dan Patrick, were not related. Patrick was Mike's actual surname, while Dan uses his middle name as his professional surname, as many in TV and radio do.
