Southern Kentucky Now BG 100.7

It sounds pretty good. I've been listening for a few days now. Happy to see operators working hard and making their best effort!

Caught a listen to the previous WKLX translator station in Morgantown recently. It has started programming locally to the Hartford/Beaver Dam/Morgantown area and is "Classic Hits Sam 99.1." Interestingly, it has taken on the call letters of former WBGN Bowling Green. Seems 7 Mountains Media should have moved the WBGN call letters for BG 100.7.

Also, in Bowling Green, 7MM launched the Point on several translators and WPTQ-HD2 (previously the Edge) calling itself the Point Rocks at 98.1/98.3/102.7. The 102.7 translator is actually licensed for WWKU-AM which had been ESPN102.7, but it has been silent since 102.7 became a part of the Point simulcast. I am pretty certain the TOH ID mentions WWKU Plum Springs/Bowling Green. Not sure this is even legal for the 102.7 translator to be on-air while the host station is off-air. I am also pretty sure I heard a ballgame on 102.7 while 98.1/98.3 maintained regular programming.

If 99.1 is still using the "Sam" branding, that probably means it's one of the stations that went to Commonwealth Broadcasting in the signal swap.

(I work part-time for 7MM in Frankfort, but I'm not really in the loop on all of the Southern Kentucky stations)

Re: the ballgame on 102.7, that'd probably be WLME, unless I'm behind the times. Not sure what 'LME's specks are, but when we lived in Ohio County and now that we live in Breckinridge, that station has a great footprint, or, last time I heard them in either place, anyway, haven't checked here in a while. Re: the translator being on the air and the main station, not, me thinks that's is illegal. There was a station in a neighboring county a while back, doing the same thing, but they got their AM back on the air. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure they would-a-gotten a little more than gently admonished, if the Friendly Candy Company (in the words of an old, now-late friend) had-a-known it.
