amateur radio K4RKA, friends with KA4BMW, Clint, used to know Gene W4IWW, been around radio and broadcasters since high school and even more after coming to C'ville in 1966. worked for WRAL TV for two years before that.
 
It is wonderful to meet another ham. If it wasn't for a local ham club, I would not understand what dB ratios and there two measurables. 🎧📻😎

If we ever get an engineer party of Elmers, I am grabbing stock on pocket protectors. 🤣

No pocket protectors today. But some of us learned to use "rubber"-sole shoes always, to avoid dangling neck chains and stay away from rings and bracelets that could be arced to.

I still do that, even though it has been decades since I worked in transmitters and "that stuff up on the roof".
