TV Show Cancellation Thread (including ending ones)

Fox fires “The Cleaning Lady” and makes “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” disappear
I’ve had this season of Alert: Missing Persons Unit sitting on the DVR, but now that I know a main character was killed off in the second episode I have second thoughts about watching it.

I had a feeling that The Equalizer was going to get cancelled I only watch the plot I didn't like it.

I much preferred the original series (1985-89) with Edward Woodward, O.B.E. in the title role. (It lasted 14 more episodes than the reboot, too.)

and with that, that ends 30 years of a second late night show on CBS and after the final episode airs, the 12:35 PM ET/11:35 PM ET time slot will be handed back to the local stations to air local programming in that time slot.

Nope. Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed will be returning to that timeslot now.

Sheesh. They might as well give it back to the affiliates. No one will watch Comics Unleashed reruns from 2009!!!
Even a late-night repeat of The Price is Right or Beyond the Gates would get higher ratings.

I don't know about that. I've had occasions when I couldn't sleep and watched it. And there are always going to be some viewers who haven't seen them yet.

Not surprised by The Cleaning Lady getting cancelled was no story left for the show in my opinion. I also knew Alert was ending as well I only watched the plot of the show and I didn't like it.

Doctor Odyssey and Grosse Pointe Garden Society cancelled after just 1 season? And the networks wonder why they can't draw the ratings they used to. It's not all streaming and cord cutting; it's people not being able to get emotionally invested in a show, knowing it will probably get cancelled after the first or second season. That's not just my opinion; several of my female friends have said the same. Why even bother watching?

This is the first year I didn't start watching any new shows except for Shifting Gears. They always get canceled and it's like your wasting your time watching a new show.

Maybe if they get to season 4 or 5 I may watch a show if it sounds good, of they ever last that long.
