X(E)PRS has changed again (or is stunting)

Heads up: this is looking like the Wolfman's final month.

On Saturday, a Tijuana pastor announced to his flock he'd reached a deal to at least lease, maybe buy, XEPRS from the Bicharas, for 24-hour Christian programming beginning March 1:

He's since confirmed it's XEPRS and that it'll be called Radio La Voz (this image is from his social page):

Correct. As reported on the LA page, Marc Paskin says he's bought an FM station in the LA area, and will bring oldies to that station:

So the oldies end on Feb 27, and move to FM starting in June.

The Bicharas have owned the station for decades. I'd be surprised if they sell it. (Then again, I've been surprised a lot!)

Another one who announces they would use the frequency 24/7. In reality, Radio Monte Maria and DMD2 (during the unbooked hours) are still running.

The current generation of Bicharas is going to look at the future of a stand-alone AM far from home and say "enough!"

They want to do the same with the XECT-AM; it's just an operational burden. They can barely cover the costs of the XEG-AM, and they sell it hourly to witch doctors or natural laboratories.

From a previous post So the oldies end on Feb 27, and move to FM starting in June. Wonder if this is ever going to happen, June is almost here and I have not seen or heard anything

Makes me think of that song by Vanessa Williams with absurd lyrics. “ Sometimes the snow comes down in June, sometimes the Sun goes around the Moon…”

In context, they actually make a lot of sense. She’s been in love with him forever. He’s been oblivious, seeing her only as a friend.

Finally, he wakes up, and realizes that she’s the one—-something she thought would never happen—-like snow in June or the sun circling the moon.

“All of the nights you came to me
When some silly girl had set you free
You wondered how you'd make it through
I wondered what was wrong with you

'Cause how could you give your love to someone else
And share your dreams with me

Sometimes the very thing you're looking for
Is the one thing you can't see

But now we're standing face to face
Isn't this world a crazy place
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last”
