Joy Reid Canceled at MSNBC

No big surprise to me. Hers was the weakest of the prime time shows.

Personally I don't think replacing her with Sanders is an improvement. It's even more inside-the-beltway than the others.

First Joe Biden, now Joe Reid! 😉

"Goodbye, Joe, he gotta go, me oh my oh
He gotta go down the Bayou."

My expectation after the election was that MSNBC would replace a lot of the Biden era people like Sanders and Psaki. Instead they appear to be drilling down on that message, and I'm not sure it's the right direction. I'm usually not a fan of Rachel Maddow, because her style is better suited to documentaries and podcasts rather than talk show hosting. But she appears to be reenergized in her return as host. These hosts need to be more than just saying the opposite of conservative talkers. They need to get outside the beltway and listen to the people. The people are the best talk show hosts. Get the hosts out of the way, and let the people speak. That will be the best TV.

Yes and all of this is part of a move all related to NBC Spinning off their cable channels. How MSNBC changes their talk show hosts is one of them and how they position themselves for the 2026 congressional and gubernatorial elections is yet to be seem here.

Not surprised that Joy Reid's show got the ax I never watched it or MSNBC. Just always seem when I saw clips Joy was always angry and name calling and insulting conservatives and there was never any joy from her in my opinion. Joy had a base just like Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Dom Lemon etc. I've never really been into the primetime opinion shows other than The O'Reilly Factor although the last few years of Bill's show was in the background only other than The Talking Points and the email at the end of the show.
