Senators push for streamers to carry C-SPAN

All but 10 people watch CSPAN where all they air is the blowhards in Congress & the Senate pandering to their base and those boring ass hearings as well.

This bill if approved will get CSPAN to be carried on Hulu Live, YouTube TV and Fubo. These are major carriage providers outside of Xfinity, Cox and Charter.
Ridiculous. Every OTT hardware player (Roku, Fire TV, etc.) runs apps. Anyone can design apps for those devices. Nobody should be forced to relay a third party's content through their app when that third party is completely free to make an app of its own.

This isn't even comparable to the bill forcing AM (third parties' content choices) to stay in the dashboards of private automakers' products. Modern car dashboards aren't user modifiable with aftermarket receivers like long ago. A player's or smart TV's home app screen by comparison is fully user-customizable and there is nothing restraining C-SPAN from getting access to the public by making apps for the major OTT hardware brands.

I am not sure how much MVPDs pay per sub for C-SPAN, but I would be willing to pay >$10/mo for a C-SPAN standalone streaming service. I should not have to pay for retrans and RSNs just to get C-SPAN.
