Tower collapse in Monroe Michigan (560 AM)

I guess the station has a temporary authorization to transmit low power from the Royal Oak Twp area.

I hope the station or farmer has insurance to cover this.
 
I wonder how deep the radials are buried. If I read the article correctly the farmer was getting ready to planting soybeans. I am pretty sure you have to plow or till the soil. There are "drilling" planters but how deep do you have to plant Soy Beans. Big difference from just mowing for hay.
 
Isn't the site supposed to be fenced in?

560 was WHND "Honey Radio" back in the day. Although the 50's music format was well before my time, it was a great sounding station.
