Louisville Mark Levin

All of these AM radio talk show hosts are a dime a dozen anymore. Even when it was already a mostly right-wing thing, some hosts stood out, but that's not the case now. Dave Ramsey is about the only one who stands out anymore, simply because he's built an empire on giving bad advice that's still somehow slightly better than what the people who listen to him were doing before they called him that goes beyond his radio show. The rest are just filling up air time repeating the same few thoughts and ideas with a different sounding voice depending upon the time of day. Give it time and they'll just be using AI bots with the same ideas but different voices to program the entire lineups on AM radio stations.

WHAS is an iHeart station. Mark Levin is syndicated by Westwood One, an arm of Cumulus Radio. I suppose management decided to replace Levin with The Jesse Kelly Show, which is produced by Premiere Networks, the iHeart syndicator. Keeping that time slot in-house.

But that leaves us with the question, why is WHAS still running "Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis" 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.? That is syndicated by a smaller company, while it could be replaced with another Premiere Networks offering, similar to Levin's fate. (Clyde Lewis had been syndicated by Premiere but was cut some years ago. Levin and Lewis are still on some iHeart stations.)

Where in Louisville will Levin's show relocate? Well, there's WKJK 1080, but that station is also owned by iHeart. And there's WGTK 970, owned by Salem. Most Salem stations try to keep their schedule with only Salem talk shows. But a few run Levin. Those are the three talk stations in Louisville, WHAS, WKJK and WGTK.

Mark Levin’s style always cracked me up — he would start out a topic segment being mild mannered, but would then build up to a crescendo of yelling/screaming by the end of the segment. 🤣
A very annoying high-pitched scream
It’s called “Manufactured outrage” or “Performative outrage”, AKA “acting”.
The most annoying high-pitched screech where he sounds like he's going to have a stroke

"You're living beyond your means, you should be eatin' peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and buying my workbooks!"

LOL, sounds like he could break glass!

To be honest, the only reason why Mark "F. Lee" Levin is even a thing is because he was Rush Limbaugh's legal counsel 20 years ago. He's grifted off that (and his cartoonish squeal) ever since.
6 of one, half dozen of another. Levin's screeching to Jesse Kelly calling everyone a Communust like it's 1950
Jesse Kelly is an in-house product, while Levin is Westwood One. That's the only reason for the switch.

WGTK carries Salem Radio Network programs, but is no longer owned by Salem. Word Broadcasting acquired WGTK and Salem's other Louisville properties in 2020, after four years of operating them via LMA.

I once had Levin on WLS Chicago and KDXU St George UT at the same time in SE Wyoming.. there was a echo because of one station being like a second or two ahead of the other station

It sounded like Levin was arguing with himself and going to stroke out on air

So if thats the only reason for the switch why didnt they replace Levin years ago with Jesse Kelly?
