1370 AM KJCE Transmitter changes

Late yesterday I noticed a considerable degradation of the signal from 1370 AM. Just heard this morning that changes are in progress to connect to the new transmitter/tower site. I saw mention of this pending change somewhere (here?) some time ago but I can't find it now. Per Radio Locator site, the change should give an increase in power and a better nighttime signal locally. If anyone here has more info on this, please join in. Thanks.

There must be a compelling reason for a company try to get out of bankruptcy to spend money making an AM property "better". I am not familiar with the market, is there a "land deal?". I would think renting or buying a FM translator would be cheaper and result in better ratings.

Moving KJCE was not the reason Audacy tried to get out of bankruptcy as the company sold the land years ago to a local developer.

When you have nearly 15 acres of developable land in a market where that is scarce, you do what you can to capitalize on it. AM stations across the country are going dark because their land is worth more than the license. KJCE at least retains enough value for it to be moved.

Here's the current rezoning request: 02 C14-2024-0069 - AM Station; District 1 Staff Report

I thought the changes was already made. I can actually pick them up out in Lavaca county for a few weeks now.
